Welcome to Munger University. Munger University is a State Affiliating University that was created by the Gazette and notification of the government of Bihar on 18th March, 2018 after dividing Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur. The colleges falling in the five districts under Munger Division i.e. Munger, Khagaria, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, and Jamui are under its jurisdiction. At present this University has 18 constituent colleges and 23 affiliated colleges imparting general education. It is said that the quality and content of education determine the character and conduct of a society as education is a means of nurturing the mind and manners of man. With this basic idea Munger University envisions social transformation through the process of education. Therefore, access, quality, affordability and transparency are the visions of Munger University. It further aims to realize the motto of education as envisaged in the NEP 2020- Learning to know, learning to do, learning to live together and learning to be. It aims at imparting knowledge, skill, character and understanding. As a seat of yoga education, the university aims to disseminate yoga education among its students for a healthy body and mind. The mission of Munger University is to empower the students with quality education and facilitate the holistic development of their personality by providing facilities for extracurricular activities. Its motto is healthy education for a healthy society. It aims at imparting rational thinking and progressive outlook and above all a sensitivity to human and natural surroundings.
